Cisco MGX 8200 series edge concentrators are high-density edge concentrators designed for service providers needing flexibility for aggregation of ATM, Frame Relay, IP, circuit emulation and voice services. The Cisco MGX 8200 series currently consists of the MGX8230 and the MGX8250; both platforms act as a stand-alone gateway or as an edge concentrator for the Cisco BPX 8600 and Cisco MGX 8850 multiservice switches and offer a full range of narrowband service interfaces and a switching capacity up to 1.2 Gbps.
